Mizata resort offers different activities and tours nearby. Some are just at the beach in front or will be guided by bilingual guide and mini van. For more information and prices please contact us.

Surf

In front of Mizata resort you will find some great waves, Mizata Point break, beach break and a slab; just a 25 to 35 min drive will take you to Sunzal, K59 and to the countries greatest wave Punta Roca, a hollow point break. You can rent boards at the Hotel. We can offer transportation and guide to take you to the different breaks nearby.

Surf school

Mizata beach is excellent for beginners to learn to surf. The beach is long and sandy. The waves at the inside are not that powerful. Best at high tide. Our experienced bilingual surf instructors will help you to ride your first waves. The class is about 1,5 hour with instructor and than you have the board included to practice all day.

Fishing trip

We offer fishing trips by boat. We will be trolling along the coast looking for tuna, dorado, red snappers and many other fish on the rich Salvadoran waters. We have fishing rods for rent. You will see the beautiful coastline of El Salvador. At night we can serve the fish from the BBQ!

Volcano National Park

One of the younger volcanoes of El Salvador that is still active. You can climb al the way up (tour of 4 hours) or you can visit the national park around. There are different hikes around to see the National Park and different views to the crater. You can see from different point the Santa Ana Volcano, Cerro Verde Volcano and the crater lake Coatepeque.

Juayua

Visit one of the mountain towns on the Ruta de Las Flores. The route is famous for all its flowers in the raining season. On the weekends there is a very nice local food fair in Juayua. We can also visit the canopy rail in Apaneca trough a coffee plantation and other little towns on the way like Ataco and Nahuizalco. There are really good restaurants around with typical food and little stores with local handcraft

Golf

45 min away from the resort there is an 18 hole Golf Course - 72 pair & 7000 yards with lagoons and rivers across the whole course, driving range, professional golf trainer, golf car renting and golf club renting.

Coatepeque Lake

Visit Coatepeque Lake, a little over one hour away from Mizata, is an impressive volcanic lake, with an altitude of 745 meters over sea level, covers an area of 25.3 km2 and a depth of 115 mts. The name Coatepeque comes from the native indigenous náhuat language, it means the ¨hill of the snakes¨
